As Chief Economist for Europe at Mastercard, Natalia is responsible for developing and delivering differentiated thought leadership in economics, finance, policy, and market trends for customers, Mastercard, and public policy stakeholders.
Natalia brings over 20 years of experience in economic research and analysis. Before joining Mastercard, she served as Head of Sovereign and Economic Risk for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Goldman Sachs in London. In this role, she analyzed macroeconomic, financial, geopolitical, and social dynamics across the region, as well as global economic trends and scenarios.
Prior to her time at Goldman Sachs, Natalia was a Senior Economist at Standard Chartered Bank, where she focused on country risk in emerging markets and thematic research. She also worked as a Senior Consultant at NERA Economic Consulting in New York, advising companies on regulatory, public policy, and litigation-related economic issues. Natalia began her career at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, representing the business interests of member countries.
Natalia holds a BA in International Economics and International Affairs from the American University of Paris, an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA from INSEAD.
