Hany Abdelkawi is a seasoned executive with over a decade of experience at Google, currently leading global innovations of the travel sector. In his capacity, Hany drives digital transformation for partners, expanding their reach in international markets while leveraging Google’s advanced data analytics and machine learning capabilities to optimize performance for leading travel clients worldwide.
Previously, he was the Global Strategy & Business Development lead for the travel sector at Google collaborating with major airlines, hotel chains, and tourism boards to develop and execute impactful digital strategies. His expertise extends beyond the travel industry, having advised over 1000+ advertisers across diverse verticals on their digital journeys.
Before joining Google in 2011, Hany led the software development team at Orascom Telecom, where he focused on search engine technology, artificial intelligence and natural language processing solutions for the Arabic language and web. He began his career as a Software Engineer.
Hany holds an MBA with a specialization in Marketing and MSc and BSc degrees in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
