Daniel Nieto has been Vice President of Public Sector at Mastercard Spain and Portugal since joining the company in 2020. Previously, starting in 2014, he served as an expert in digital inclusion and public policies at the United Nations. With more than fifteen years of experience in the technology sector, he has worked to facilitate collaboration between companies and institutions in leveraging digital tools to improve society and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda).
An expert in digital inclusion, e-commerce, and digital policies, he is the author of internationally recognized publications on measuring the digital economy, e-commerce, and public-private collaboration, published by the United Nations. Daniel holds a degree in economics from the University of Salamanca and has completed postgraduate studies at the London Business School, the University of Bern, and the World Bank.
